Darknight Helms Alee are one phenomenal beast that just seem to get better and better with each release. I did think that there last record was the best but this new album is definitely the best record so far. Astonishing how this band write such gorgeous tunes but somehow bring on the heavy riffs just to kick ass. I fell in love with this remarkable band and there's no looking back. Favorite track: Tripping Up the Stairs.

Gold leaf floating slowly above the wet street Lift this grey off of me and take me with you Wherever you are going I know there's color And I was meant of a place where souls are warmer
2.
New darn The interweaving stitch we stuck be strong Be worn Thread together forever Keep this be the way Grip hand rip with all your might Our muscle memory can muster up a fight Selvedge Self finished raw edge Our hooks and eyes are time tested Face to face to face Aged into a new language Our scars spell out the secret Keep this be the way

Shifting the weight too late too long Squirreling our love away Blister against the waning moon Rub till the color fades Feel on it's frey Shifting the weight too late too long Squirreling our love away Blister against the waning moon Rub till the color fades Shifting the weight too late too long Squirreling our love away Blister against the waning moon Feel on it's frey

Lurching forward, heaving ho You buck and shudder any time the wind blows Dredge them trenches, damn themz cold You ju mp the rhythmic gash like it's morse code Slosh on weathered drift sick stow You glass jaw champion, making hay with gusto Drag them knuckles, sank them stones You great big fukr, dance on yer tippy toes All , low is me You can tell it’s wel l come , a home for real mis take In a hell, a nice place, up, enjoy the stakes

Big Louise 03:08
She stands all alone You can hear her hum softly From her fire escape in the sky She fills the bags beneath her eyes with the moonbeams And cries because the world's passed her by Didn't time sound sweet yesterday? In a world filled with friends you lose your way She's a haunted house And her windows are broken And the sad young man's gone away Her bathrobe's torn And tears smudge her lipstick
6.
Trash fire burn ban lifted all the way Let's see how much you'll burn in a day I'd bet my right arm and my right leg You'll turn all that's sacred ashen grey Turn off and parade Gesture toward the entrance of the cave Shift my lips and send me on my way I'll keep on edging shadows pace Promise me I'll end up catching shade Turn off and parade On the way Race, know the cadence Tame but don’t force it Rot, heart still racing Pace in it’s rarest form
7.
Shine a light, see the truth With candlelight make it sooth. Story’s over, sin the past you bringing up the middle half. A worded smith with bated breath can’t you hear the way I left through. You keeping right along talking on and on and on and on and on and on and on…
8.
Set our sights off of the why, ride the gloomy glow. Socked in tight, defused light fuels the lofty goal. We just might dig through this night for all I know. Keep in mind, our end in sight is the Gloonie's Goad! All these true and tried souls stay bone dry. Hang tough and keep tight. We are home!

Heart strings Pull things make them sing Have the knives out We can cut through What we think of things While were swinging from the noose of our golden dreams Drink to dry mouth think Creep to cry now leave If your dry eyes weep You can stop Now sleep Heart things Pull strings Make them see With the lights out We can cut to The meat of things While we’re reaching Through the dark for Our real feelings Pass the lies out It’s a free throw we need these things While we’re preaching in the light of our broken screens Drink to dry mouth think. Creep to cry now leave. If your dry eyes weep Can you stop? now sleep

Heart outstretched, Full up Long after breached capacity Feel it grow Pressing mesolow Read the eyes Sweat index is high Caved onside, lured in Caught up in lines deeply weaved Watch it now orphan anvil cloud You're way off shore chasing all the storms The place where you were born Far from your home Strange winds at bay Lightning leads the stray Lash it away Kicking and cursing and screaming On a weird wired path of a circuit’s aftermath (Chasing the storm The place where you were born) I’ll cast you away Fold of patterns, torn up Hold sway the way you cut with ease. Guts bellow a thunderous FUK NO I'll punch the core and make a break for the door Nervous, sad, and sure This storm is not my home Waste wither grey Maybe this day I’ll cast you away Kicking & cursing, & screaming on a weird wired path Of circuits after math (Chasing the storm, the place where you were born) I’ll cast you away
